I realize that looking for a therapist can be a difficult task. It’s daunting to imagine oneself talking about sensitive or confusing issues with a perfect stranger. Easier, perhaps, to imagine being in a relationship with a therapist one has already come to trust and recognize. But how to start? The true answer may in fact be that the only real way to know if a therapist is a good fit for you is to meet them. But before that it is helpful to get some sense of whether you even want to make contact.
